I’ve been collecting odd and specimen shells, corals and gems for decades.  Since I was an antiques dealer once, collecting is in my blood.  In my shop I offered a few necklaces and charms I made, but a couple of years ago I dove all the way into the ocean of the jewelry world and started using the marvelous shells, fossils, pearls and antiquities I’ve collected.  I arrived upon a fun, sustainable line of unique seashell and gemstone jewelry.  It’s hard to realize just how rare some of the shells I have are, and to manage to get a pair of something the same size and color is nearly miraculous.  I have bought dusty shell estates, where boxes of collected shells have been stacked in a closet for years and years.  I aim to bring these lovely oceanic morsels into the light, and honor them the best way I know how: make something fun and pretty from them.  Sometimes one seashell will have been collected in 1963.  I hang onto it until I come upon another–sometimes years.  When I have two matched shells I can produce a pair of earrings!  It’s great fun.  Of course not all the jewelry is quite that rare, but most of the pieces have a story to go with them.  I love pairing special shells with gemstones, like Carnelian, Topaz, Tourmaline, Peridot and Aquamarine.  I can safely say that the jewelry I make is not boring.  it is doubtful you will be able to find anything like my seashell and gemstone jewelry anywhere else.  It is truly “bespoke” and always special.
